BUTTER KUCHEN
1/2 cup (1 stick) butter
1/2 cup sugar
3 eggs
1/2 teaspoon vanilla1 cup unsifted flour
Cream butter and sugar. Beat in eggs, one at a time. Stir in vanilla and flour. Butter and flour a cake pan with removable bottom. Spread butter kuchen on bottom of pan. Peel and slice 3 or 4 fresh peaches. Arrange peaches on top of kuchen. Sprinkle with 2 tablespoons sugar.
Bake for 30 minutes in 375 degree oven.
Take out of oven and add almond mix.
ALMOND MIX:
3/4 cup almonds, whirled in blender until powdery
2 Tablespoons butter
1/4 teaspoon almond flavoring
4 tablespoons brown sugar
4 tablespoons flour.
Blend until crumbly
Sprinkle on top of peaches, in a circular pattern near edges. Bake for 10 more minutes or until firm
When cool, carefully remove from sides of pan.
