    BERRY PIE

    This must be made of berries that you have picked yourself. In our case it is wild rasberries. Sometime you have to chase the bears out of the berry patch. (Just kidding)


    List of Ingredients


    • 4 cups fresh berries
    • 2/3 to 1 cup sugar depending on the sweetness of the berries
    • 4 tablespoons flour
    • 2 teaspoons quick cooking tapioca
    • 1 Tablespoons lemon juice
    • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
    • 1 unbaked pie shell


    Instructions


    1. Place berries in a large bowl. Sprinkle the sugar, flour, tapioca, lemon juice and cinnamon over the berries. Stir gently until well blended. Pour into unbaked pie shell. Dot with butter. Cover the top if desired with a pie crust or make a lattace of strips. If you use a whole pie crust be sure to make several slits. Let pie sit for 15 minutes. Bake 450 degrees for 10 minutes. Reduce heat to 350 degrees and bake for about 40 more minutes.
