    CHICKEN BREASTS WITH CARROTS

    List of Ingredients


    • 1/3 cups all purpose flour
    • 1 teaspoon salt
    • 1 teaspoon paprika
    • Dash of pepper
    • Dash of garlic powder
    • 3 whole chicken breasts, split
    • 3 Tablespoons vegetable oil
    • 1/4 pound of mushrooms, quartered
    • 2 cups carrots, peeled and sliced diagonally--about 1/2 inch thickness
    • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
    • 1/2 cup orange juice
    • 1/2 cup dry white wine
    • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
    • 2 teaspoons brown sugar


    Instructions


    1. In a small bag combiine the firsr 5 ingredients. Place the chicken breasts in the bag and shake to coat well. Heat the oil in a frying pan and brown the chicken. Place the chicken in a 9 x 13 inch baking dish.

    2. Scatter the mushrooms and carrots over the top of the chicken.

    3. Mix the soup, juice, wine, nutmeg, and brown sugar until smooth. Pour over the chicken. At this point you may cool, cover and refrigerate until the next day.

    4. Bake, covered at 350 degrees (40 to 45 minutes if refrigerated.) Makes 4 to 6 servings.
