CHICKEN BREASTS WITH CARROTS

- 1/3 cups all purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- Dash of pepper
- Dash of garlic powder
- 3 whole chicken breasts, split
- 3 Tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1/4 pound of mushrooms, quartered
- 2 cups carrots, peeled and sliced diagonally--about 1/2 inch thickness
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup
- 1/2 cup orange juice
- 1/2 cup dry white wine
- 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
- 2 teaspoons brown sugar
Instructions
- In a small bag combiine the firsr 5 ingredients. Place the chicken breasts in the bag and shake to coat well. Heat the oil in a frying pan and brown the chicken. Place the chicken in a 9 x 13 inch baking dish.
- Scatter the mushrooms and carrots over the top of the chicken.
- Mix the soup, juice, wine, nutmeg, and brown sugar until smooth. Pour over the chicken. At this point you may cool, cover and refrigerate until the next day.
- Bake, covered at 350 degrees (40 to 45 minutes if refrigerated.) Makes 4 to 6 servings.
