This is really yummy and is also posted in the archives by Imp aka Kathy.
List of Ingredients
6 pork loin chops (1/2 inch think), fat trimmed off
1 tablespoon oil
1 can condensed cream of mushroom soup (10 3/4 ounces)
1/2 cup milk
1/2 cup sour cream
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1 cup shredded chedder cheese, divided
1 cup (2.8 ounces) French-fried onions, divided ( I used a can)
1 (24 ounces) package frozen Hash Brown O'Brien potatoes--Thawed
1/2 teaspoon seasoned salt
Instructions
In a skillet over medium high, brown the pork chops in oil, set aside.
Combine soup, milk, sour cream, pepper, 1/2 cup of the cheese, and 1/2 cup of the French fried onions. Fold in the potatoes. Spread in a greased 13 x 9 x 2 inch baking dish. Arrange chops on top. Sprinkle with the seasoning salt.
Cover and bake at 350 degrees for 40 to 45 minutes or until por is tender.
Uncover; sprinkle with the remaining cheese and french fried onions. Return to oven for 5 to 10 minutes until cheese is melted.
Final Comments
I bet if you didn't want to use pork chops, you could use pieces of chicken or chicken breasst. I would think you would not cook it quite as long. Maybe 30 to 35 minutes instead. Will have to try that too.
