TURKEY OR CHICKEN AND HASH BROWN BAKE
List of Ingredients
- 1 package (32 ounces) southern style Hash browns
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 4 cups diced cooked chicken tor turkey
- 1 can (4 ounces) sliced mushrooms or use about 12 fresh ones, sliced and sauted in a little butter
- 1 cup (8 ounces) sour cream
- 2 cups chicken broth or stock
- 1 can (10 3/4 ounces) Cream of Chicken soup
- 1 teaspoons instant chicken bouillon granules
- 2 tablespoons finely chopped onion
- 2 tablespoons finely chopped red or green pepper
- 1 garlic clove, minced
- paprika
- 1/4 cup sliced almonds
Instructions
- Thaw hashbrown overnight in refrigerator or in the microwave.
- Layer in ungreased 13 x 9 inch baking dish. Sprinkle with salt and pepper. Place chicken or turkey and mushrooms over hashbrowns. Stir together the sour cream, broth, soup, bouillon , onion, pepper and garlic. Pour over the hashbrowns and chicken/turkey.
- Bake uncovered at 350 degrees for 50 to 60 minutes, or until heated through. Maked 8 to 10 servings.
