LIME ICE CREAM
List of Ingredients
- 1/2 cup + 1 tablespoon lime juice from 3-4 limes
- 1 tablespoons plus + 1 teaspoon lime zest
- 2 cups sugar, preferably superfine (regular ok tho)
- pinch of salt
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 2 cups milk
- 1 or 2 drops green food coloring (optional)
Instructions
- In a large bowl combine the lime juice, lime zest, sugar, and salt. Gradually stir in the cream and milk. cover and refrigerate at least 4 hours or overnight, if possible, to allow flavors to develope fully.
- Next day stir the mixture and pour into ice cream maker and freeze according to manufactures instructions.
