LIME ICE CREAM




List of Ingredients



• 1/2 cup + 1 tablespoon lime juice from 3-4 limes
  
• 1 tablespoons plus + 1 teaspoon lime zest
  
• 2 cups sugar, preferably superfine (regular ok tho)
  
• pinch of salt
  
• 2 cups heavy cream
  
• 2 cups milk
  
• 1 or 2 drops green food coloring (optional)
  






Instructions



1. In a large bowl combine the lime juice, lime zest, sugar, and salt. Gradually stir in the cream and milk. cover and refrigerate at least 4 hours or overnight, if possible, to allow flavors to develope fully.
   
2. Next day stir the mixture and pour into ice cream maker and freeze according to manufactures instructions.
