    List of Ingredients


    • 1 pound lean beef (or cooked chicken or cooked pork) cut in very thin strips
    • 1 block tofu cut in cubes
    • 1 bunch green onions cut in pieces about 1 1/2 inches long
    • 2 large round onions sliced thin.
    • 1 bunch watercress cut in 1 1/2 inch pieces
    • 1 bundle long rice, broken in small pieces, cooked and drained
    • Snow peas
    • 1 small can sliced bamboo shoots
    • bean sprouts
    • carrrots
    • califlower
    • 1 small can sliced water chestnuts.
    • 1 to 2 tablespoons cooking oil


    Instructions


    1. Marinade for meat:
      2 tablespoons sherry
      2 tablespoons soy sauce
      Marinate meat for 1 to 1/2 hours.
    2. Sauce"
      1/2 cup soy sauce
      2 tablespoons bourbon or wine
      1/4 cup sugar (maybe less)
      1 tablespoon corn starch
      grated ginger
      1 garlic clove, pressed
    3. Melt enough oil to quickly brown meat. Add the sauce. Add the onions, and long rice. Add the rest of the vegetables with the watercress added last.
    4. Tthe entire cooking process should last 20 minutes.
