Aunt Ivy’s Coleslaw
(Elaine)
(Named for John’s Aunt who made this often)
1 head cabbage, shredded (or bagged equivalent)
1 green pepper, shredded
1 onion, shredded
1 C sugar
Bring to boil:
¾ C oil
1 C vinegar
1 tsp slt
½ tsp celery seed
Layer half of cabbage, pepper, and onion. Sprinkle with sugar, then layer rest of veggies.
Pour hot mixture over all. Do not stir. Cover and refrigerate overnightRecipe
