    HAM AND VEGETABLE CHOWDER


    List of Ingredients


    • 1/2 cup margarine
    • 1 cup Bisquick
    • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
    • 4 cans (10 3/4 ounces) chicken broth
    • 2 cups frozen cubed hash brown potatoes, thawed
    • 1 cup thinly sliced carrots
    • 1 cup sliced celery
    • 1 medium onion, chopped
    • 2 cups cubed or shredded ham
    • 2 cups milk


    Instructions


    1. Heat margarine in a 4 quart Dutch oven until melted. Stir in Bisquick and pepper. Heat until bubbly. Remove from heat. Stir in everything but the milk and ham. Heat to boiling over medium heat, stirring constantly. Boil 1 minute. Reduce and simmer until vegetables are tender, about 5 to 10 minutes. Stir in ham and milk. Simmer for 1 minute.
