    PAT'S GREEN BEAN CASSEROLE


    List of Ingredients


    • 1 package frozen green beans
    • 1 tablespoons butter
    • 1/4 cup fine dry bread crumbs
    • 2 tablespoons butter
    • 2 tablespoons flour
    • 1 cup sour cream
    • 1 teaspoon prepared mustard
    • 1/2 cup shredded swiss cheese
    • 2 tablespoons minced onion


    Instructions


    1. Cook beans. Heat 1 tablespoon butter. Add crumbs and stir until toasted. Set aside. Heat the 2 tablespoons butter and blend in the flour, salt, and pepper. Cook until the mixture bubbles. Remove from heat. Add mixture of sour cream and mustard, gradually. Blend well and heat stirring constantly. Do not boil! Add beans, cheese, and onions to the sauce. Toss gently until well mixed. Turn into a greased 1 quart baking dish. Top with toasted crumbs. Bake 10 minutes in 350 degree oven.
