    SCALLOPED POTATOES # 1


    List of Ingredients


    • 1/4 cup melted butter or margarine
    • 1/2 cup chopped onion
    • 1 (16 ounce) package of hashbrowns
    • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
    • 1 soup can milk
    • 1 cup (4 ounces) shredded chedder cheese
    • paprika
    • 1 cup Ritz crackers, crumbled, or crushed corn flakes, or croutons
    • salt and pepper to taste


    Instructions


    1. In a skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Saute the onion until tended. Stir in the mushroom soup, milk, salt and pepper, and the potatoes. Add cheese, green pepper, and 1/2 of the crumbs. Pour into shallow casserole and top with sprinkled paprika and the remaining crumbs. Bake 375 degrees for 35 to 40 minutes.
