SCALLOPED POTATOES # 1
List of Ingredients
- 1/4 cup melted butter or margarine
- 1/2 cup chopped onion
- 1 (16 ounce) package of hashbrowns
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup
- 1 soup can milk
- 1 cup (4 ounces) shredded chedder cheese
- paprika
- 1 cup Ritz crackers, crumbled, or crushed corn flakes, or croutons
- salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- In a skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Saute the onion until tended. Stir in the mushroom soup, milk, salt and pepper, and the potatoes. Add cheese, green pepper, and 1/2 of the crumbs. Pour into shallow casserole and top with sprinkled paprika and the remaining crumbs. Bake 375 degrees for 35 to 40 minutes.
