    Baked custards are so simple and taste delicious. Grated nutmeg garnishes this time-honored and comforting custard. Prep Time: approx. 15 Minutes. Cook Time: approx. 40 Minutes. Ready in: approx. 1 Hour 55 Minutes. Makes 6 servings.

    List of Ingredients

    4 large eggs
    1/2 cup granulated sugar
    1/2 teaspoon salt
    1 (12 fluid ounce) can NESTLE
    ® CARNATION ® Evaporated Milk
    1 cup water
    1 teaspoon vanilla extract
    ground nutmeg

    Directions
    1 PREHEAT oven to 350 degrees F.
    2 COMBINE eggs, sugar and salt in large mixer bowl. Add evaporated milk,
    water and vanilla extract; beat until mixed. Pour into six 6-ounce custard
    cups. Sprinkle with nutmeg. Place cups in 13 x 9-inch baking pan; fill pan with up to 1 inch of hot water in depth. This helps keep the custard moist.
    3. Bake for 35 to 45 min. until you can insert a knife near center of custard and it comes out clean. Remove cups and place on a wire rack to cool. Refrigerate until ready to serve.
