Cream of Onion Soup
List of Ingredients
- 2 large onions [thin slice]
- 2/3 cups dry white wine
- 1 1/3 cup chicken broth
- 2 tsp basil
- 1/4 tsp thyme
- 1 1/2 tbs cornstarch
- 1 1/2 cups evaporated skim milk
- chopped scallions
Instructions
- Lightly spray large sauce pan, place over low heat. Add onion,cover and cook until onions are wilted.About 15 min.
- Add wine,broth, and herbs. Simmer, covered 20 minutes.
- Stir together cornstarch and milk mixing well. Add to onion soup. Simmer until thickened. Garnish with parsley
