2 cups chicken broth, homemade is best, I use canned.
1/8 tsp white pepper
1/2 tsp soy sauce
1/4 tsp sesame oil [ or less]
1 tsp corn starch
1 egg
veggies [optional]
Instructions
Heat broth, pepper, soy sauce, and sesame oil until it just begins to boil. Add veggies, I use a tbs of peas and a chopped green onion for color and texutre.
Mix the corn starch in a small amount of water or with some of the broth. Add to soup to thicken.
Whisk the egg and using a fork, drizzle over the boiling soup. Simmer a minute or two.
Final Comments
Note: All of the ingredients can be varied to your taste. Start with less sesame oil and taste. I also add minced carrots sometimes. Put the peas in at the last if you are not going to serve right away. They become mushy if cooked to long. Serves 2
