List of Ingredients
MEATBALLS:
1 1/2 lbs. lean ground beef
2/3 c. plain bread crumbs
1 egg, slightly beaten
1/4 c. water
3 tbl. minced onion
1 clove garlic, minced
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
SAUCE:
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. chicken broth
1/3 c. white vinegar
1 tsp. oil
1 tsp. soysauce
1/4 tsp. salt
1 clove carlic crushed
2 tbl. cornstarch
2 tbl. cold water
1 tomato, cut in 16 pcs.
1 small green pepper- 1" pieces
1 can pineapple chunks in heavy syrup (drained)Recipe
MEATBALLS:
Combine all meatball ingredients. Form into 60 bite-size meatballs. Place in shallow baking pan or jelly roll pan. Bake in 450 degree oven, 15 minutes or until cooked through. Drain on paper towels.
SAUCE:
Heat sugar, broth, vinegar, oil, soy sauce, salt and garlic to boiling in 2 qt. saucepan, over med. high heat, stirring occasionally. Mix cornstarch and water. Stir into sugar mixture. Cook and stir until thickened. Stir in cooked meatballs, tomato, green pepper and pineapple. Heat through and serve.
