Bob's Breakfast Casserole

List of Ingredients
1 lb. sausage*
4 tbl. stick butter
1 pkg. frozen hashbrowns, thawed
1 sm. onion, finely chopped
8 eggs
1 c. milk
1/2 tsp. basil
1/2 tsp. parsley
1/2 tsp. chives
1/2 tsp. pepper
2 c. shredded cheddar
*Can substitute 1 lb. cooked bacon or cubed ham. I like to add mushrooms, too... my favorite combination in with bacon, cooked vidalia onions and cooked mushrooms!Recipe
In large skillet, melt butter. Evenly spread out hashbrowns and cook over med, heat until the begin to turn brown on bottom. Transfer hashbrowns into deep casserole dish. In same skillet, cook sausage until almost done.Add onion and cook until tender. Drain. Crumble sausage/onion mixture over hashbrowns. In med. bowl, blend eggs, milk and seasonings. Pour egg mixture over sausage/hashbrowns and blend throughout hashbrowns. Bake, uncovered, at 400 degrees for 35 minutes. Cover top with cheese and continue baking for another 10 minutes. Serve when eggs are cooked firm and cheese is hot and bubbly.
