Cinnamon Danish Pastry

•2 sheets (one box) frozen puff pastry dough, defrosted
Filling : For each sheets
• 2/3 cup butter, softened
• 1/2 cup white sugar
• 2 tablespoons ground cinnamon
•1/2 cup powdered sugar
**optiona: 1/2 c. finely chopped walnuts or pecans
Recipe
1.Preheat oven to 425 degrees F (220 degrees C). Lightly grease a baking sheet.
2.Unfold the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface, and roll out to a rectangle of about 20×9 inches.
3.With a brush spread the butter over the pastry and sprinkle sugar and cinnamon. Top with chopped nuts if using.
4.Roll the long sides of the pastry rectangle toward the center; where they meet in the center, dampen with water to secure. Using a sharp knife, cut into about 1/2-inch slices; place in the baking sheet, and sprinkle with powdered sugar.
5.Bake in preheated oven until golden brown, about 10 to 15 minutes.
