    Delicious and moist... soooooo good!!

    List of Ingredients




    2 c. flour
    1 tsp baking powder
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1 tsp. salt
    2 tbl cocoa powder
    2 c. sugar
    2 eggs
    1 c. buttermilk
    2 tsp. of vanilla extract
    1 c. vegetable oil
    1-2 oz. red food coloring
    1 tsp. white distilled vinegar
    1/2 c. hot coffee

    Recipe



    Sift together flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cocoa and sugar. Set aside. In another bowl, mix eggs, buttermilk, vanilla, oil and food coloring. Once mixed, slowly add the flour mixture. After the flour is added, add vinegar and hot coffee. Grease 2 9" round pans (I line the bottom with waxed paper).Bake at 325 degrees on the middle rack. The trick to keeping it moist is to wrap them in saran wrap and then in the foil after they have cooled to room temperature and freeze overnight. Frost with Cream Cheese Frosting and refrigerate.

    Cream Cheese Frosting

    2-8 oz room temp pkg cream cheese
    1/4 c. milk
    1 stick of room temp. butter
    2 tsp vanilla
    4 c. powdered sugar (sifted)
    Beat cream cheese, milk, butter, and vanilla until creamy. Add powdered sugar and mix well.
