Recipe Introduction
You can use chicken in place of turkey.
List of Ingredients
1 lb. carrots (peeled & chopped in food processor)
4 stalks celery w/leaves (chopped in food processor)
1/2 med. onion(chopped in food processor)
1 14.5oz. can stewed tomatoes (broken into sm. pieces)
1 can cream of chicken soup
2 qts. chicken stock*
1 c. quick-cooking barley
2 c. chopped cooked turkey or chicken
Chicken base to taste
Recipe
Add all ingredients, except turkey & chicken base, to crockpot. Stir well. Cook on high 8 hours. 30 minutes before end of cooking time, add cooked turkey. Add chicken base to taste, if needed.
*Add more chicken stock at the end of the cook time if soup is too thick.
