5 c. pared, cored and sliced cooking apples
1 1/2 tbl. lemon juice
1 c. brown sugar (packed)
1 c. flour
1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 c. room temperature margarine
Recipe
Heat oven to 375 degrees. Grease a square glass baking dish. In large bowl, toss apple slices in lemon juice. Place apples in baking dish. In medium bowl, mix brown sugar, flour and cinnamon. Cut in margarine until crumbly. Top apples with sugar/flour mixture. Bake 35-40 minutes or until apples are tender. Cool slightly and serve warm with vanilla ice cream, whipped cream or non-dairy topping.
