List of Ingredients
PASTRY:
4 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking powder
1 c. shortening
4 egg yolks
2 tbl. cinnamon
8-10 tbl. cold water
FILLING:
7 c. chopped apples
1 1/2 c. sugar
1/4 c. flour
2 tsp. cinnamon
dash of ground nutmeg
GLAZE:
1 c. confectioner's sugar
1 tsp. milk
1 tbl. lemon juice

FOR PASTRY:
In a large bowl combine dry ingredients. Cut in shortening until crumbly. In a small bowl, wisk egg yolks, lemon juice, and cold water. Gradually add to dry ingredients. Divide dough in half. Chill for 30 min. Roll out between two large pieces of waxed paper. Move onto ungreased 15x10x1-in. jelly-roll pan and pat dough onto the bottom and up the sides.
FOR FILLING:
Mix together and put over bottom layer of dough in the pan. Roll the other dough half, place over filling and pinch edges. Cut slots in top to let out steam. Bake at 375 degrees for 45-50 minutes or until golden brown. Cool then drizzle with glaze.
FOR GLAZE:
Mix together. If too stiff, add more milk.
