Take a roll of paper towels and cut it in half with a serrated knife. Place half roll in a plastic can with a snap-on lid. (an empty lg.size coffee can works well.) In a measuring cup.... measure 1 c. water and 1 c. white vinegar. Stir well. Pour over paper towels. Cover and allow towels to soak up moisture for a few hours. Take cover off and remove wet cardboard tube from center of paper towels. Discard. Keep tightly covered. Remove damp paper towels from center of roll when needed.
