Baked Macaroni and Cheese

1 lb. elbow macaroni
4 tbl. margarine
2 tbl. flour
1 tsp. salt
4 c. milk
1 lb. American cheese
1 stack Ritz crackers (crushed)
3 tbl. margarine (melted)
Recipe
Cook macaroni according to package directions. Drain. In saucepan, melt 4 tbl. margarine. Add flour and salt. Mix well. Slowly stir in milk, stirring constantly, until smooth and hot. Add cheese (broken into pieces). Stir until cheese is melted. Mix cheese sauce and macaroni and pour into large, greased, glass baking dish. Toss crushed cracker crumbs with 3 tbl. melted margarine. Sprinkle ovr top. Bake 400 degrees, uncovered, 1 hour or until hot and bubbly. Allow to sit 10-15 minutes before serving.
