Recipe Introduction
Fast cake to make for special occasions. Cool Whip makes this extra tasty.
List of Ingredients
- 1 Box White cake mix
- 1.C. sugar
- 1 C. or sm. pack frozen coconut (completely thawed for at least a day)
- 1 C. condensed milk
Instructions
- Make cake as directed on the box.
- Before cake cools, combine sugar, coconut and milk stirring constantly over low heat until mixture thickens.
- Punch holes in cake with fork and pour hot mixture over cake, spreading to edges.
- Let cake completely cool.
- Spread 1 large container of Kool Whip over cake and sprinkle with the flake coconut.
- Keep refrigerated.
Final Comments
If the frozen coconut has not been thawed for at least a day and kept in the frig., when you add it to the cake in the last step, it will be too soggy.
Make sure you use the frozen, it has a much better taste.
