- 3 sticks butter or margarine
- 1- 8 oz. pkg. cream cheese, softened
- 3 c. sugar
- 6 eggs
- 3 c. plain flour
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 tsp. almond flavoring
- Icing**
- 2 c. powdered sugar
- 1/2 c. Crisco
- 4 tbsp. canned milk
- 1 tbsp. flavoring
- (Beat until smooth)
Instructions
- Cream together butter and cream cheese, blending in sugar.
- Add eggs, one at a time and continue to blend.
- Add flavorings and flour; blend until smooth.
- Do not overbeat!!
- Pour into a greased and floured 10 inch tube pan.
- Bake at 325 for 1 hour and 15 minutes, or until cake tests done.
- Make frosting as above and add to cooled cake.
