    Recipe Introduction


    Chocolate Cake that my kids love the best!


    List of Ingredients


    • 2 c. sugar
    • 1 c. shortening
    • 4 eggs
    • 1 1/2 c. self-rising flour
    • 1/3 c. cocoa
    • 2 tsp. vanilla
    • 1 c. chopped nuts
    • 1/4 tsp, salt
    • 1 pkg. small marshmallows
    • Easy Chocolate Frosting***
    • 1 stick margarine
    • 1/3 c. cocoa
    • 1 box 4x sugar
    • 1/2 c. cream
    • 1 tsp. vanilla
    • 1 c. chopped nuts


    Instructions


    1. Cream sugar and shortening, add eggs. Beat by hand.
    2. Sift flour, cocoa and salt, add to above mixture and beat.
    3. Add vanilla and nuts, pour into an oblong pan.
    4. Bake 30 to 35 minutes at 350 degrees.
    5. Remove and spread marshmallows evenly on cake.
    6. Put back in oven until marshmallows slightly melt.
    7. Remove from oven and allow to cool then frost with easy chocolate frosting***.
    8. Easy Chocolate Frosting**
      Cream margarine, combine cocoa and sugar, add to margarine alternately with cream. Add vanilla and nuts, spread on cooled cake.
