Red Velvet Cake with Frosting

- 2 eggs
- 2 1/2 c. plain flour
- 1 1/2 c. sugar
- 2 sticks margarine
- 1 c. cooking oil
- 2 tbsp. cocoa
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 c. buttermilk
- 2 tsp. vanilla
- 2 oz. red food coloring
- Frosting**
- 1 stick margarine
- 1- 8 oz pkg. cream cheese
- 1 box confectioner's sugar
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 c. pecans
Instructions
- Mix all ingredients together for cake.
- Bake in 3 layers or in tube pan at 325 degrees
- layers for about 20 to 25 minutes.
- Tube pan, check after 30 minutes.
- Frosting**
- Combine margarine and cream cheese,
- add vanilla and then gradually add sugar and nuts, mixing well.
- Spread on cooled cake.
