    Chocolate Peanut Butter Fudge

    List of Ingredients


    • 2 C. sugar
    • 1/4 C. cocoa
    • dash salt
    • 1/2 C. cream
    • 1 Tbs. butter or margarine
    • 1/4 tsp. vanilla flavoring
    • 1 1/2 C. peanut butter
    • 1 Tbs. Karo syrup


    Instructions


    1. In sauce pan, combine sugar, cocoa, and salt, stirring to break up cocoa.

    2. Add cream over medium heat stirring constantly until sugar melts. Add Karo syrup.

    3. Cook after mixture boils for at least 5 minutes.

    4. Have cup of cold water handy just like in Oatmeal cookie recipe to test for soft ball form.

    5. Take off burner and immediately stir in butter, peanut butter and vanilla, stirring until mixture starts to cool down.

    6. Pour onto greased cookie sheet and when cool, cut into squares.



    Final Comments


    Adding the Karo syrup helps to make the candy smoothe.
