Best banana pudding!!
List of Ingredients
- 3/4 c. sugar
- 1/3 c. flour
- dash salt
- 4 egg yokes
- 4 egg whites
- 2 c. milk
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla
- box vanilla wafers
- 5-6 ripe bananas
Instructions
- In double boiler, add sugar, flour and salt and mix well.
- Beat egg yokes, stir in milk and vanilla, and add to above mixture.
- Cook over medium heat stirring constantly until mixture thickens to almost pudding consistancy.
- Set off burner and line cookies and bananas one layer on top of the other until about 1 inch from the top of your glass cooking pan, ending with cookies.
- Whip egg whites almost to a peak and add 1/4 cup sugar, continue to beat to a peak.
- Top pudding with peaked egg whites and place in a 350 degree oven for approx.6-7 mins. or until top turns to light brown.
- Serve warm or cold.
