Spread- Chicken Salad Party Spread

2 chicken breast halves, skinned
2 tablespoons chopped onion
2 tablespoons water
4 slices bacon
1/4 cup plus 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
2 tablespoons commercial barbecue sauce 1 tablespoon lemon juice
1/2 teaspoon pepper
Recipe
Arrange chicken in a 9-inch pieplate,
placing meatier portions to outside of dish; sprinkle with onion. Pour water over chicken. Cover with heavy-duty plastic wrap; microwave at HIGH 3 minutes. Give dish a half-turn, and microwave at HIGH 3 to 3V2 minutes or until chicken is no longer pink and juices run clear. Drain well; remove chicken from the bone, and finely chop meat.
Place bacon slices on a rack in a 12- x 8- x 2-inch baking dish; cover with paper towels. Microwave at HIGH 31/2 to 4 minutes or until bacon is crisp. Drain bacon; crumble and set aside.
Combine mayonnaise and remaining ingredients in a medium bowl. Add chicken and bacon, tossing until well mixed. Spread on party bread or crackers. Yield: 1 ½ cups.
