3 pounds chicken wings
1/2 cup sugar
3 tablespoons cornstarch
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1/3 cup lemon juice
1/4 cup soy sauce
1 cup waterRecipe
Cut off wing tips and discard. Cut wings in half. Place in single layer on rack in baking pan. Bake at 400 degrees F for 30 minutes, turning once. Mix sugar, cornstarch, salt, ginger and pepper in small saucepan. Stir in water, lemon juice and soy sauce. Cook, stirring constantly, until thickens and boils 3 minutes. Brush 1/2 on wings. Continue baking, turning and brushing on sauce, several times for 40 minutes.
