    Yeast, rolls- Homemade Butter Rolls

    List of Ingredients

    2 yeast cakes

    2 cups lukewarm water

    1 cup butter (2 sticks)

    1 cup sugar

    6 beaten eggs

    11/2 tsps. salt

    8 to 10 cups flour


    Recipe

    1. Mix yeast cakes with 2 tablespoons sugar and the 2 cups lukewarm water.

    2. Melt butter and add sugar. Add this mixture to the yeast.

    3. Add the beaten eggs to yeast. Place salt into the flour, then add the liquid and stir well until sticky and thick.

    4. Let rise 2 hours, then spoon down. Refrigerate over night.

    5. Do Not knead. Divide dough into 4 equal parts.

    6. Roll each part into a circle. Cut circle into 4 parts, then cut each of the four parts in 3 parts. (Makes a total of 12 pieces out of each of the four quarters.) Roll starting with the wide end.

    7. Place on a buttered cookie sheet so that the small tail end is under.

    8. Let raise 2-3 hours. Bake in 400 degrees oven for 10 minutes. (Rolls may be frozen after Step 7.)

    Makes 4 dozen.
