4 (1-ounce) squares semisweet chocolate
1 cup butter or margarine
1 3/4 cup sugar
1 cup all-purpose flour
4 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/4 teaspoon butter flavoring
1 1/2 cups chopped pecansRecipe
Combine chocolate and butter in a heavy saucepan; cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until melted. Cool mixture slightly.
Combine sugar, flour, eggs, and flavoring in a large mixing bowl. Add chocolate mixture, stirring until batter is smooth. Stir in pecans. Spoon batter into paper-lined muffin pans, filling two-thirds full. Bake at 325 degrees for 35 minutes. Yield: about 2 dozen.
