    Pie- Dutch Apple Pie

    List of Ingredients


    9-inch pastry shell, uncooked
    4 cups thinly sliced peeled
    apples*
    1/4 cup granulated sugar
    3/4 teaspoon cinnamon
    1/8 teaspoon salt
    3/4 cup brown sugar
    3/4 cup all-purpose flour
    1/3 cup butter


    Recipe

    Combine the apples slices with
    the granulated sugar, cinnamon
    and salt; put in the pastry
    shell.
    Combine the brown sugar with
    the flour and butter using a
    pastry blender; mix until
    crumbly. Sprinkle topping over
    apples. Bake in a 400 degree
    oven for 30 to 35 minutes. Use
    foil around edge of pastry shell,
    if necessary, to prevent burning.
    *A juicy flavorful apple is best
    for a moist result.
