    Pie- Chocolate-Pecan Cream Cheese Pie

    List of Ingredients




    2 packages (3 ounces each) cream cheese, softened
    4 eggs, divided use
    1/4 cup + 2 tablespoons sugar
    2 teaspoons vanilla extract, divided use
    1 unbaked pastry shell (9-inch)
    1 1/4 cups pecan pieces
    3/4 cup light corn syrup
    1/8 teaspoon salt
    2 bars (1 ounce each) unsweetened baking chocolate, melted
    Whipped topping and pecan halves, optional

    Recipe



    In small bowl, combine cream cheese, 1 egg, 1/4 cup sugar and 1 teaspoon vanilla; beat until smooth. Spread into bottom of pastry shell. sprinkle with pecans. In medium bowl, lightly beat 3 eggs. Add corn syrup, 2 tablespoons sugar and salt; beat well. Stir in cooled melted chocolate and 1 teaspoon vanilla. Gently pour over pecan layer. Bake at 375 degrees F for 35 to 40 minutes or until knife inserted 3 inches from edge comes out clean. Cool completely. Garnish with whipped topping and pecans, if desired. Yield 8 servings.
