Filled- Kolaczki
List of Ingredients
1 envelope yeast
1/2 teaspoon sugar
4 tablespoons sour cream, at room temperature
2 1/4 cups sifted flour
1 egg yolk
1 cup (2 sticks) butter or margarine, room temperature
Canned fruit filling: prune, apricot, strawberry, etc.
Powdered sugar
Recipe
In mixing bowl, dissolve yeast in sour cream and add sugar. Add flour, egg yolk and butter; mix well. Divide dough into three parts.
On floured board, roll out one section of dough to 1/8-inch thickness. Cut into circles or squares. Place 1/2 teaspoon fruit filling in center of each square or circle. Bring two opposite corners to center of filling or fold sides of circle together. Pinch edges gently to seal. Repeat with other two sections of dough.
Bake at 350 degrees 10 minutes. Sprinkle powdered sugar over plate or sheet of aluminum foil on counter. Transfer cookies to plate or foil and sprinkle with tops with additional powdered sugar. Makes 4 to 5 dozen.
