Shaped- Butter Fingers

List of Ingredients
1/2 pound butter
5 tablespoons confectioners' sugar
3 cups flour
2 teaspoon vanilla
2 cups chopped pecans
1/4 teaspoon saltRecipe
1. Preheat the oven to 350 degree
2. Cream the butter and sugar together until creamy.
3. Work in the flour, vanilla, pecans and salt with a wooden spoon or the fingers to make a dough.
4. Divide the mixture into about thirty-six pieces and shape each into a small cigar shape. Place on an ungreased baking sheet and bake fiftenn minutes, or until lightly browned.
Yield: About three dozen.
Note: These cookies are best after they have been stored for several days in an airtight tin because the flavor mellows and the texture changes.
