List of Ingredients
2 cups sifted all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon baking powder
3/4 cup (1 1/2 sticks) butter or margarine
3/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar

1 egg
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/4 cup milk
Confectioners' sugarRecipe
1. Measure dry ingredients into sifter.
2. Cream butter or margarine with brown sugar until light in a medium-size bowl; beat in melted chocolate, egg, vanilla, and milk. Sift in dry ingredients, a little at a time, blending well to make a stiff dough. Chill overnight, or until firm enough to handle.
3. Roll dough, a teaspoonful at a time, into marble-size balls; place about 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheets.
4. Bake in a moderate oven (350 degrees) 8 minutes, or until tops are crackled. Remove carefully from cookie sheets, roll in confectioners' sugar while still hot. Cool on wire racks, then roll again in confectioners' sugar to make a generous white coating.
