Applesauce Doughnuts

3 tablespoons shortening
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
1 cup applesauce
1/2 cup milk
4 cups flour
4 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons cinnamon
Dusting
Cinnamon

Recipe
Mix doughnut ingredients in order given; chill at least 2 hours. Roll, cut and cook in deep fat at 350 degrees. Dust with a mixture of cinnamon and sugar.
