Indonesian- Yellow Rice
List of Ingredients
4 cups rice, rinsed and drained
1/2 teaspoon cumin
3/8 teaspoon turmeric
1 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 cups homemade coconute milk or 3/4 cup canned unsweetend mixed with 3/4 cup water
Recipe
1. In large saucepan or flameproof casserole, combine the rice, cumin, turmeric, salt, coconut milk and 5 1/4 cups of water. Let soak for 30 minutes.
2. Bring to a boil over moderte heat. Reduce the heat to low and cook, covered, for 15 minutes. Remove the pan from the heat, stir the rice once and let stand, still covered, for 10 minutes. Food and Wine Annual
