    Mussels with Lager, Ham and Potatoes

    List of Ingredients





    1 tablespoon butter

    1/4 cup ham, diced

    1/4 cup diced potato

    2 cloves garlic, sliced

    8 ounces lager

    1/4 teaspoon salt

    1/4 teaspoon pepper

    1 pound mussels, cleaned and in shells

    1/4 cup parsley

    Recipe



    In a large skillet, melt butter. Add ham and sauté about 3-5 minutes or until browned. Add potatoes and sauté 3 more minutes. Add garlic, beer salt, pepper and mussels. Cover skillet and allow to steam about 5-8 minutes or until mussels are just open. Remove heat from pan and discard any mussels that didn’t open. Spoon into bowls and sprinkle with parsley.
