List of Ingredients
6 pounds spareribs, cut into 1-rib portions
1 cup catchup
1/2 cup light molasses
1/4 cup prepared mustard
2 tablespoons prepared mustard
2 tablespoons cider vinegar
2 tablespoons Worcestershire
2 teaspoons chili powder
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
1 small green onion, minced
Recipe
About 2 hours before serving:
1. In 8-quart Dutch oven or saucepan over high heat, heat ribs and enough water to cover to boiling. Reduce heat to low; cover and simmer 45 minutes to 1 hour until ribs are fork-tender.
2. Preheat broiler if manufacturer directs. In bowl, mix catchup and remaining ingredients.
3. Place ribs on rack in broiling pan. Place pan in broiler with spareribs about 6 inches from source of heat; broil 20 minutes or until ribs are browned, turning ribs occasionally and brushing with sauce often during last 10 minutes of broiling. Makes 6 main-dish servings.
