Creamy Colseslaw with Apples

1 cup buttermilk
1/2 cup mayonnaise
2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
1/2 teaspoon sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon freshly ground pepper
8 cups very thinly slice green cabbage
2 cups shredded carrots
2 cups finely chopped Granny Smith apples
1/3 cup thinly sliced green onionsRecipe
Whisk first seven ingredients in a large bowl. Add cabbage, carrots, apples and green onions; toss to coat. Makes 12 cups
