Dressing- Old-Fashioned Cooked Salad Dressing

2 tablespoons flour
2 tablespoons sugar
1 tablespoon onion powder
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon dry mustard
1/2 teaspoon paprika
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1 cup milk
2 egg yolks
1/4 cup lemon juice
Recipe
In a medium saucepan combine flour, sugar, onion powder, salt, mustard, paprika and pepper. Blend in milk slowly. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until mixture boils and thickens. Blend a little of the hot milk mixture into egg yolks and return egg mixture to saucepan. Cook gently for 1 minute. Cool slightly, stir in lemon juice and remove from heat. Pour into container, cover and chill. Serve over shredded lettuce and tomatoes. Makes about 1 1/2 cups.
