    Chinese Five Spice

    List of Ingredients




    2 tablespoons peppercorns
    2 tablespoons cloves
    2 tablespoons fennel seed
    2 tablespoons Chinese cinnamon (or other cinnamon)
    6 star anise, broken

    Recipe



    In a blender combine ingredients. Pulverize the mixture and sieve it into a small bowl. Store the spice in an airtight container and use it to season marinades and sauces for Oriental dishes.
