    This could be enjoyed as either a coffeecake or as a dessert!

    List of Ingredients




    1 1/2 cup sugar
    1/2 cup butter
    1/2 cup shortening
    1/2 teaspoon baking powder
    1 teaspoon vanilla
    1 teaspoon almond extract
    4 eggs
    3 cups flour
    1 can cherries pie filling

    GLAZE:
    1 cup conf. sugar
    1-2 Tbspn. milk

    Recipe



    In mixing bowl blend first 7 ingredients on low speed; increase to high for 3 min. Stir in flour.

    Spread 2/3 of batter in greased 15X10X1 pan. Spread pie filling over batter. Drop remaining batter by Tbsp. over all. Bake 350 for 40 min.

    GLAZE:
    Mix conf. sugar and milk well.
