    2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
    1/4 teaspoon salt
    1 teaspoon baking soda
    2 teaspoons cream of tartar
    1 1/2 cups white sugar

    For coating packet:
    1/2 c sugar
    1 tbsp cinnamon

    Recipe



    1. In a large bowl, combine the flour, salt baking soda, cream of tartar, and sugar. Stir with a whisk, then place into a canning jar.

    2. Put Coating Packet ingredients in a small ziplock baggie, and if desired into a decorative bag, and label 'Coating Packet'. Attach to jar.

    3. Print out the following instructions on a gift card and tape the card to the jar:

    Snickerdoodles

    1 c butter
    2 eggs

    Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). In a large bowl, cream butter and eggs. Add the snickerdoodle mix and stir until a dough forms. Pour Coating Packet into small bowl. Roll the dough into 1 inch balls, roll the balls in the cinnamon-sugar mixture, and place 2 inches apart on an unprepared cookie sheet. Bake for 10 to 15 minutes in the preheated oven. Cookies should be light brown. Cool on wire racks after removing from the oven.
