Hot Dogs in Sauce
List of Ingredients
- 4 to 6 large thinly sliced Vidallia onions
- 1 Tablespoon butter
- 1/2 cup cold water
- 2 dozen hot dogs cut into fourths
- 4 Tablespoons sugar
- 1 teaspoon celery seed
- 1 teaspoon dry mustard
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 4 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
- tabsco sauce to taste
- 1/2 cup ketsup
- 4 tablespoons vinegar
Instructions
- Cook onions in butter and water until soft.
- Add remaining ingredients and cook slowly for one hour.
- Flavor improves when done ahead and reheated.Transfer to a chafing dish and serve with toothpicks.
