    Hot Dogs in Sauce


    List of Ingredients


    • 4 to 6 large thinly sliced Vidallia onions
    • 1 Tablespoon butter
    • 1/2 cup cold water
    • 2 dozen hot dogs cut into fourths
    • 4 Tablespoons sugar
    • 1 teaspoon celery seed
    • 1 teaspoon dry mustard
    • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
    • 4 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
    • tabsco sauce to taste
    • 1/2 cup ketsup
    • 4 tablespoons vinegar


    Instructions


    1. Cook onions in butter and water until soft.

    2. Add remaining ingredients and cook slowly for one hour.

    3. Flavor improves when done ahead and reheated.Transfer to a chafing dish and serve with toothpicks.
