    Best Rum cake you'll ever eat!

    List of Ingredients




    1 CUP CHOPPED WALNUTS OR PECANS
    1 (18.5OZ) PKG YELLOW CAKE MIX
    1 (3.75OZ) PKG VANILLA INSTANT PUDDING AND PIE FILLING
    4 EGGS
    1/2 CUP COLD WATER
    1/2 CUP VEGETABLE OIL
    1/2 CUP DARK RUM

    GLAZE

    1/4 LB. (1STICK) BUTTER
    1/4 CUP WATER
    1 CUP GRANULATED SUGAR
    1/2 CUP DARK RUM

    PREHEAT OVEN TO 325 DEGREES. GREASE AND FLOUR A 10 IN. TUBE OR 12-CUP BUNDT STYLE PAN. SPRINKLE NUTS EVENLY OVER BOTTOM OF PAN. MIX TOGETHER CAKE MIX, PUDDING, EGGS, WATER, OIL AND RUM. BLEND WELL. POUR BATTER OVER NUTS. BAKE 1 HOUR OR UNTIL CAKE TESTS DONE. COOL; INVERT ON SERVING PLATE. PRICK TOP. BRUSH GLAZE OVER TOP AND SIDES. ALLOW CAKE TO ABSORB GLAZE. REPEAT UNTIL GLAZE IS USED.

    GLAZE:
    IN A SAUCEPAN, MELT BUTTER. ADD WATER AND SUGAR. HEAT TO BOIL OVER MEDIUM HEAT, CONTINUE BOILING 5 MINUTES, STIRRING CONSTANTLY. REMOVE FROM HEAT, ADD RUM.
