1 cup butter
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
1/2 cup chopped pecans

In a heavy saucepan, combine butter and sugar and bring to a boil, stirring constantly until candy thermometer reaches 290 degrees F. Quickly pour onto buttered cookie sheet and flatten with spoon. Top with chocolate chips (heat of candy will melt chips). Spread chocolate and sprinkle with pecans. Cool until hard and break into pieces.
